Whether you are a seasoned yogi or are completely new to fitness classes, our classes are a great way to melt away stress and stay fit and flexible during pregnancy and beyond. We focus on being able to provide personal attention to help you in your practice and opportunities to connect with your fellow classmates. Therefore, classes are small, but the community-vibe is big.
Yoga & Dance
Nope, you’re all good. If your doctor has advised you to take it easy and not do certain types of exercise, by all means follow their advice. Otherwise, take the class at your own pace and really let your body be your guide. We’ll save the headstands for later.
When adapted to the needs of pregnant or postpartum women, yoga can not only be safe for pregnancy and postpartum, but can provide valuable benefit both physically and emotionally. It’s important that you are aware of your own limitations, take it easy when you need to, and be aware that you have increased relaxin (a hormone that can make joints and ligaments of the pelvis and low back more mobile than normal), so follow the guidance of our experienced instructors. Discuss with your midwife or OB if it is safe for you to exercise and do gentle modified yoga. Once given the all-clear, know that it’s not only safe, but important, to take care of yourself and your wellbeing.
This is a multi-level class — you will be surrounded by people who are brand new and trying new things and others who may look like they can teach the class themselves. Our instructors adapt to the particular vibe and needs of the class, and the small class sizes allows opportunity to get some individualized attention and help refining your technique. In other words — no worries, you are in good company!
Can’t find a babysitter? No worries — we have baby-holders to care for your little one while you focus on having a little “me” time.
