This workshop is not a Then Comes Baby service. Rather, we are offering our space to the provider, Gena McCarthy, to provide this important service and want to take the opportunity to let our community know about it here. Please register here.

- July 13, 1pm — 5pm

This group is for women who need a safe and supportive space to discuss and process a difficult or traumatic birth experience. Through safe, supportive, effective practices like guided imagery, journaling, collage making, and body calming techniques, women are supported in their healing and renewing process,
These circles have consistently been effective for participants in reducing their experience of painful trauma symptoms, called triggers and the causes of those triggers.
Circle design allows participants to feel safe and supported in a process in which compassion is brought to difficult experiences. Gena utilizes an evidence-based method associated with changes in neurobiology, with the goal that triggers are reduced or eliminated and emotional pain is not longer connected with the old memory.
This workshop is fitting for:
* Anyone who had a difficult or traumatic birth, whether recently or many years ago.
* Women who are currently pregnant and who have a history of a difficult or traumatic birth.
This workshop is not the right environment for women needing support after a fetal loss. Please contact Gena to discuss the right support options for you.
Per Gena’s recommendation, infants four months old or younger may come. For women who need support with older infants, please contact Gena directly.
