Baby Sleep Support + Baby Feeding Support are high on the minds of most new parents. Evolving from our “It’s Not Just About Breastfeeding” moms circle — where we found that eventually all roads led to talk about sleep, our (Lack of Sleep) + Infant Feeding Support Circle is a place to meet other local new moms and support each other, get your infant sleep and feeding questions answered by a Board Certified Lactation Consultant + Certified Sleep Educator, and enjoy a little tea or full-caff. coffee in our cozy center. You can also check your baby’s weight on our sensitive baby-weight scale.
While we talk about whatever you need — partners, self-identity, unexpected challenges — we often talk about two key areas where things might not be as easy as you wish: infant & family sleep and feeding your baby.
Each group is a little different — sometimes most moms have infants around the same age, others it’s a mix, sometimes it’s a small group, other times a full house – but each person comes to meet other moms, find the ‘sweet spots’ big and small, learn from each other, and the group facilitator.
Note: This is not a breastfeeding clinic — we do not provide any clinical breastfeeding care (like latch assistance or tongue-tie checks) in this setting, but if it seems like individualized care is fitting, we can discuss how to get you the help you need.
Also of note, in addition to support and discussion on topics associated with new parenthood, the education in this group focuses on developmental and common challenges of infant feeding and infant sleep, and helps troubleshoot how to get more family sleep — we do NOT promote sleep training (come and visit to learn more about why or join our class all about the science of sleep and infant development). That said, if that is the path you choose to take, we will support you through that experience! We welcome both breastfeeding and formula fed babies.
